High School
Planning
The road to high school actually begins in the 8th grade. Students are encouraged to take the most challenging courses that they can be successful in. Planning for high school early instills confidence and helps families understand what it will take to reach their goals with their children.
5-Year Plan
When a student reaches 8th grade, the family sits down with the administrator and maps out the 5-year plan to graduation. This document is a suggested path and is updated and changed yearly.
Diploma Options
TRA offers 4 diplomas: College Preparatory, Standard, Vocational and Special. For details of the requirements of each diploma see Graduation and Diploma Options.
High School Transcript
A TRANSCRIPT is developed to document high school credits and GPA. While the 5-Year Plan can be changed and updated yearly, the TRANSCRIPT is an official historical document, recording the academic record completed by each student and is permanent.
Official, sealed Transcripts are sent to colleges or other institutions upon receiving an official request. Parents are given an unofficial transcript each year for the purpose of keeping their records up to date.
Student Resume
Along with the transcript, a high school resume is generated documenting all of the activities, awards, recognitions and accomplishments of the student throughout their high school careers. This resume accompanies the transcript upon transfer.
